   Lending Library

The H.O.M.E. library is open for members from 6:15 to 7:00 pm before most parent meetings. The library offers fiction, non-fiction, videos, and audio tapes specifically for homeschoolers and from homeschooling conventions. Items can be checked out for one month and are due for return or renewing at the next month's parent meeting. Children are not allowed to check out materials.

There is a printed list of the library database available at the H.O.M.E. Yahoo! Groups site when you sign in and click on the Files tab in the Left sidebar, then on the Library link.

Overdue items are charged a $1 fine each, for every month an item is not returned.

Feel free to contact our Library Administrator for more information or suggestions for materials to be added to the Library.

   Kid's Day

Kid's Day activities are held the first Tuesday of most months for elementary-aged kids. Some past year's activities include: a day at a park, a spelling bee, a Valentine's Day roller skating party, a trip to the Washington State Corn Maze, and much more. Information about upcoming events will be included in each month's newsletter or you can look at the Calendar of Events on the web site.

Some activities may involve a fee. If space allows, non-members are allowed to participate for an additional fee.  Feel free to contact our Kid's Day Coordinator for more information.

A registration form is usually available at the parent meetings or click the button below to download.

   Teen Events

H.O.M.E. tries to offer one or two teen events each month for currently homeschooled teens (13 years old through grade 12). These activities range from game nights, bowling, and broom ball, to formal dances. In the summer we offer "Summer Nights Out" once or twice a month. A typical cost for activities is $10. Dances range from $20 to $35 for H.O.M.E. members and are exclusively for homeschooled Senior High students. We usually plan two or three dances per school year.

All events are no-host events, except dances. No-host event means that if parents choose to drop off their teen, the parent is saying that the teen is responsible for him/herself. Although adults will be present at all no-host events, these adults are not responsible for every teen present. Ultimately, each teen's parents are responsible for them, so if they drop off the teen, it is comparable to dropping them off at the mall.

Feel free to contact our Teen Events Coordinator for more information.

   Field Trips

Field trips are a wonderful way for kids and parents to get to know other families that are homeschooling. They are also wonderful learning opportunities. Some past field trips include Safeco Field, Uwajimaya, Pumpkin Patch and many more.

   SAT Testing Services

H.O.M.E. sponsors the Stanford Achievement Test in May for grades 2 through 12. This test fulfills the Washington State requirement for the yearly assessment. This is not to be confused with the other well known SAT test, the Scholastic Assessment test, which is a college entrance exam.

Feel free to contact our Chairman for more information.
